ReelCue
ReelCue — Privacy Policy
ReelCue collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no third-party SDK. Your scripts and recordings never leave your iPhone.
What stays on your device
- Scripts you write, paste, import, or scan are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone.
- Recordings are stored in the app's private storage. If you turn on “Auto-save to Photos”, a copy is also written to your photo library.
- Settings such as scroll speed, text size, and camera preferences are stored in the app's local preferences.
- Deleting the app removes all of it. Copies you saved to Photos remain in Photos.
Permissions, and why
- Camera — to show the preview and record video. Required to record.
- Microphone — to record your voice with the video. Required to record.
- Photos (add only) — to save a finished recording to your camera roll. Optional. The app can only add; it can never read or delete your photos.
- Speech recognition — used only by the optional Captions feature, to transcribe a take you already recorded. Recognition runs on your iPhone; if a language cannot be recognised on device, ReelCue reports an error rather than sending your audio anywhere.
What ReelCue never does
- It does not upload your scripts, video, or audio.
- It does not track you, in this app or across others.
- It shows no ads.
- It does not sell or share data, because it holds none.
